Marathon

On Sunday, I finally walked the half marathon. I am so excited to know I actually did it. It was really fun. The morning of was absolutely freezing. I'm not a big " people person" meaning I don't like to be super squished on the Metrolink, but that morning I was so sad to leave it's super stuffed interior. When we got there, we had to find our corrals. My mom and I were in 19, second to last. We started about 7:30 even though we got there much earlier.
The race started off great. My mom and I had a steady pace while rock and roll bands sang above us. It was really awesome because people cheered us all the way. I only saw two people I knew cheering me on. One a neighbor, the other, another neighbor who is one of my best friends. It was fun to see all the bands singing, it kept me going.
The end of the race was the best part. One, because it wasn't freezing outside. Two, there was food. It was also cool because there were all these people cheering. I got a medal. On the back it had a place to put your race time. I was around 3 hours, pretty good for walking. There was only one problem, I had no idea how much my legs would hurt.
